The downward stairs to the right of the doorway you just passed through leads to a Boreal Outrider Knight. You’re almost at the boss fight if you’re reading this. If you try and unload your attacks, you may not see it raise its axe in its hand, which it will quickly bring slamming down in front of it to catch you unaware, so don’t be fooled, and attack from a different angle if you can. Even on a dragon, it still carries its basic fear of fire - so use any fire weapons, pyromancy, or firebombs to stun it before running in and attacking, then backing off to repeat the process. This area has two Pus of Men, some Hollow Soldiers and a Winged Knight. The Dragonslayer Armour is also quite adept at twisting its body to bring its axe around in impressive arcs, and shield slam the few areas it can’t reach with its weapon. There’s a Large Soul of a Weary Warrior by a ledge, but dropping down might put you up against a wall when facing this knight and his backup, so you may want to carefully enter through the main gate. Make a left and grab the Sunlight Medal on the corpse. The Devout will prioritize buffing the knight, making the mage extremely vulnerable, so target him first.
